CHAPTER 1 TEST is Next Wednesday!

Monday:         Review lesson 6 with practice problems for points.  In lesson 7, we’re learning to solve equations by using mental math and the guess and check strategy.  Text reference pages 34 - 36.  s.p.i.-6.2.7; 6.1.2; 6.2.4
HOMEWORK:    Page 595 Lesson 1-6 #s 25 - 32.

Tuesday:      Students will continue practice of solving mental equations using inverse operations.  Pairs will work to complete online with self-checks of lessons 1 through 7.  MIDTERM MATH GRADES WILL GO HOME TODAY.  PLEASE SIGN & RETURN.  SPI- 6.1.2, 6.2.7; 6.2.7
HOMEWORK:    Return signed math interim for points.

Wednesday:      Students will review the process of solving word problems.  Text reference page 38.  In the final lesson of chapter 1, students will find the areas of rectangles.  Text reference pages 39 - 41.      S.P.I.-6.4.5, 6.4.7
HOMEWORK:    Work on Pattern Story

Thursday:       Classes will continue to with one step equations and area of triangles practice.  Students will complete a Standardized Practice of lessons 1 through 8 from text pages 45-46. SPI- 6.1.3, 6.1.7
HOMEWORK:    Page 596 lesson 1-8 #s 1-6.

Friday:          Math classes will review the results from Think Link Test 1.  Individual student data will be sent home as soon as it is available to me.  Student percentages and answer key strips will be placed inside of math journal.  Later, classes will review chapter 1’s study guide for test.  SPI- 6.all
