CHAPTER 3- Statistics: Analyzing Data
7th Grade BLUE TEXTBOOK

Monday:     Class will continue to making and interpreting freguency tables of chapter 3.  The focus will be range, scale, and intervals of a data set.  7th grade Text reference pages 88 - 91.    s.p.i.-6.5.7; 6.5.2
HOMEWORK:    Complete worksheet given in class.

Tuesday:      Students will review homework and continue practice with intepreting graphs.  With Mrs. Triplett, students will the learn to find the three measures of central tendency called MEAN, MEDIAN, and MODE in lesson 4.  7th grade Text reference pages 102 - 105.   SPI- 6.5.1, 6.5.3
HOMEWORK:    Page 90 #s  8&9 and page 91 #s10&11

Wednesday:      Class will review homework and continue practice with mean, median, and mode.  Later, students will use problem- solving and making predictions in using graphs in lessons 2 & 3.  7th grade text reference of pages 92- 97.   SPI- 6.5.1, 6.5.3; 6.5.8; 6.5.2
HOMEWORK:    none

Thursday:       Class will continue review of lessons 1-4. of chapter 3.  Students will complete  a graded practice on lessons 1 and 4.  SPI- 6.5.1, 6.5.3; 6.5.8; 6.5.2
HOMEWORK:    Mid-Chapter 3 Practice page 70 #s 1 - 5.

Friday:          Students will review homework then complete Mid-Chapter 3 Test of lessons 1 - 4.  If time permits, class will begin lesson 5, stem and leaf plots.  S.P.I.-6.5.2; 6.5.7 6.5.8

UpComing Events/Reminders

- I am continuing to grade the Chapter 1 Story Projects.  Grades will go home next week.  All projects not turned in will reflect a “ZERO” grade on power school.

- Calculators will be in soon.  Thank you for your patience.

- Chapter 3 Project will be completed at school.  However, classes will need bags of skittles and regular singles person bags of plain m&ms.
