CHAPTER 3- Adding and Subtracting Decimals
Monday: Complete projects from Friday. Classes will discuss and explore Line Plots and Box and Whisker Plots as an enrichment project. Skittles will be used for the data set. Text reference pages 84 & 85. s.p.i.- 6.5.7;6.5.4
HOMEWORK: NONE.
Tuesday: Continue and Complete Skittles Project. Later, classes will begin Chapter 3, lesson 1: Recognizing and Representing Decimals in standard form, word form, and expanded form. Text reference pages 102-104. s.p.i.- 6.1.1; 6.1.3
HOMEWORK: page 599 lesson 3-1 #s 6 - 18 EVEN ONLY.
Wednesday: Review homework. Continue practice with writing and expressing decimals in different forms using the dry erase boards. In lesson 2, students are comparing and ordering decimals. Text reference pages 108 - 110. SPI- 6.1.1; 6.1.3; 6.1.5
HOMEWORK: none
Thursday: Classes will continue review lesson 2 of Chapter 2 with an overhead practice. Later in lesson 3, students will learn to round decimals to approiate place values. Text reference pages 111 - 113.

HOMEWORK: Page 127& 128 #s 10 - 16.
Friday: Classes review homrework and rounding decimals. Team will compete in a Jeopardy challenge for practice of lessons 1 - 3. Mid-Chapter Test of lessons 1 - 3 will be on Monday. . SPI- 6.1.1; 6.1.3; 6.1.5; 6.1.4, 6.1.8

UpComing Events/Reminders
- Chapter 3 has only 5 lessons. Will complete this chapter next week and the Test will be Tuesday, Oct. 30th. No calculators.
- Calculators came on Monday and were passed out. Please use a sharpie to write your name on back of calculator and cover. To refund or exchanges for damage done to your calculator once it was given to you.
- Quarter 2 grading period has begun. Last weeks graded papers and test will apply to this quarter. Homework starts at 100 again.
