CHAPTER 5- Fractions and Decimals
Chapter Test is Next Week!!

Week of December 3 - 7

Monday: Review lessons 1 -3 on page 190 in text in prep for quiz. Later, students will take Mid-Chapter 5 quiz. If time allows, class will talk through and discuss how to solve problems by making an organized list in lesson 5-4A . Text reference pages 192 - 193.
HOMEWORK: none

Tuesday: Students will review solving problems in lesson 5-4a by dicussion of problems 6 - 15 on 193. Afterwards, students will use calculators to find the LCM using the L-Box method for lesson 5-4. Text reference pages 194 - 196.
HOMEWORK: page 604 lesson 5-5 #s 10 - 28 even

Wednesday: Review homework and LCM using L-Box. Students will complete an online LCM activity. Later, teams will play GCF & LCM Spin Off from page 191.
HOMEWORK: none

Thursday: In lesson 5-5 classes will compare and order fractions. Text reference pages 198 - 200. PI- 6.1.2,5,9
HOMEWORK: Page 604 lesson 5-5 #s 18 - 26 even only.

Friday: Classes will review homework and process of comparing and ordering fractions. Later, students will take a practice End of the Sixth grade year THINK LINK test. We will review the results on Monday. On Wednesday, Dec. 18th students will take the real assessment Online. Student results of test will be sent home the week back from Winter Break.

Our 2nd Math Think Link Test is Wed., December 18th.

We are going to begin contructing our mathematically sound Pyramids in January. We will need resources and objects from home. Be on the look out for the list.
