    CHAPTER 7- Multiplying & Dividing  Fractions

Chapter Test is next THURSDAY!

REGULAR MATH
Week of January 28 – February 1

Monday:     Review the three processes of estimating products from Friday’s lesson 1 of Chapter 7 with compatible Numbers, Rounding to nearest halves and wholes.  Notes and Examples were provided in journals.  Text reference pages 256 – 258.  s.p.i.- 6.1.8                    HOMEWORK:    page 607 #s 2 – 28 even only from lesson 7-1

Tuesday:      Students will review estimating products homework.  Later, classes will learn the process of Multiplying fractions and Mixed Numbers in lessons 2 & 3. Journal notes and examples will be given.  Textbook reference pages 261 – 266.    s.p.i.- 6.1.8; 6.1.9
HOMEWORK:    page 285 – 286 #s 16 – 24 even only

Wednesday:      Review homework and continue practice of solving problems of multiplying fractions and mixed numbers.  Students will take a quiz on Lessons1,  2 & 3 on Thursday using journal notes.  s.p.i.- 6.1.8; 6.1.9
HOMEWORK:    NONE

Thursday:  Classes will review mid-chapter 7 practice on page 268 as a final prep for quiz today.  After quiz, Students will learn to divide fractions in lesson 4 using the KCF rule. 2Text reference pages 274 – 274.      s.p.i.- 6.1.8; 6.1.9
HOMEWORK:      page 274 #s 16 – 30 even only using notes.

Friday:       Class review dividing fractions using dry erase boards for practice problems.  Students will expand on lesson 4 by dividing mixed numbers in lesson 5. Text reference pages 276 – 278.
