Week of February 4 - February 8

Monday:     Students will recall solving proportions in lesson 3 of Ch. 8.  Text reference pages 325 - 327.  Class will also review ratio and rate for using online practice on glencoe’s math site.
HOMEWORK:    page 590 lesson 8-3 #s 2 - 18

Tuesday:      Students will review homework and later learn to solve problems involving scale drawing with Mrs. Triplett. Text reference pages 332 - 334.  s.p.i.- 7.1.12
HOMEWORK:    TBA by Mrs. Triplett

Wednesday:      Review homework. Students will continue practice and activities with scales in lesson 8-4. Workbook practice will follow. Textbook pages 332  - 335 . s.p.i.- 7.1.12
HOMEWORK:    NONE

Thursday:  In lessons 8-5 through 8-7; students will learn to express fractions and decimals as percents and vice versa. Journal notes and examples will be provided for using a calculator to solve, setting up a proportion, and by moving the decimal right or left two places.   Text reference pages  336 - 344.    s.p.i.- 7.1.12
HOMEWORK:      page 354 #s 32 - 48 even only.

Friday:       Review homework as well as continue practice of converting fractions and decimals to percents and vice versa.  A graded activity will follow review.. s.p.i.- 7.2.1
